Perfect Quetzal Tour

After trying on our own for 4 days with no success, we booked a last minute quetzal tour with Jorge, and we had a great time. We had been trekking up and down trails on our own and Jorge made it so much easier for us. We drove to a couple spots and hiked only a short distance which was much appreciated. I knew that he would be able to locate the quetzal and we were able to see four males and one female. My goal was to see a male flying through the trees, and we did! He told us about his family’s role in conservation in the area. Highly recommend this tour. The lodge has an amazing hummingbird porch and a nice restaurant with a big fireplace. We felt very much at home and wished we had booked an overnight stay!
